📘 Structure (Formula)
– Subject + am/is/are + verb + -ing
Examples:

✏️ Spelling Rules for “-ing”
– Adding -ing — Most verbs: play → playing, read → reading
– Drop final “e” — If verb ends in e, remove it: make → making, write → writing
– Double final consonant — If verb ends C‑V‑C (consonant‑vowel‑consonant) and is stressed: run → running, sit → sitting
– Verbs ending in -ie — Change ie → y: lie → lying, die → dying
